Make “my location” actually yours: save and name your places

The unique angle of this page: your location is not a one-off answer, it is a set of places you return to. After locating yourself, press ☆ Save this place and name it — Home, Office, Parking level 3, Trailhead. Saved places live only on your device, can carry notes (gate codes, reminders), and can be exported as GPX/KML for your hiking watch or Google Earth. Manage them any time in Saved Places.

No app download needed — and why that matters

Most “my location” apps in app stores are thin wrappers around the same browser APIs this page uses. Running in the browser means: nothing to install, no app-store account, no permissions beyond the one you grant, and identical results. If you want the app feel anyway, install this site as a PWA — you get an icon and offline tools, and your coordinates still never reach our servers. The difference is explained honestly in our privacy statement.
